Note on Travellers
Travellers Worldwide was established in 1994 by Phil and Jennifer Perkes to enable people from all over the world to experience the joys of living and working in foreign countries. Having travelled extensively and been lucky enough to work in various countries, the founders believed that everyone should have the opportunity to meet and live with people of different races and ethnic groups, and to gain experience and memories that would likewise stay with them for the rest of their lives. By setting up Travellers they have achieved these goals.
Travellers is a founding member of the Year Out Group and is widely recognized as a leader in providing worthwhile volunteer placements overseas. We send volunteers FROM all over the world TO all over the world! We work  with over 300 projects around the world, predominantly in developing countries. We provide projects with volunteers, funding and assistance. We support the projects by satisfying both its short-term needs (such as the day-to-day running) as well as helping the projects to achieve its wider goals over a longer period of time. 
Travellers’ volunteers fulfill a wide variety of roles, including that of a teacher, a coach, a carer, a nurse, a researcher, a builder, a conservationist and so on. The volunteers are given round-the-clock support, guidance and instruction, which enable them to achieve their goals and to appreciate, with confidence, the meaning of a valued and lasting contribution to the projects and communities in which they work.

Note on the volunteers
Travellers’ priority is always to ensure that all volunteers are supplied with safe and comfortable experience throughout a project. The organization may not be able to guarantee everyone the first choice of placement regarding their needs, but it will be able to recommend suitable projects that the volunteers will be best supported at. Certain projects will not lend themselves well to some disabilities and Travellers always ensures, as of every volunteer, that he/she and the project/destination are ideally compatible.
The organization deals with all special individual needs and takes great care to provide incredible and tailor-made experience to each of their volunteers, whatever their needs or preferences. Should Travellers need to render special services in respect of volunteers’ requirements (such as ramps or extra staff assistance), it will endeavour to do so whenever possible.
